Twinkle twinkle little star….*singing*….No I'm not just reminiscing  about some childhood song…..yep look out for it fashionistas….celebrities internationally are already rocking this shiny trend. Great designers including Dolce and Gabbana have assembled their star prints and celebrities like Kim Kardashian,Jessica Alba and Alexa Chung are already into wearing the new star print trend.
Dolce and Gabbana has shown  that there is a number of ways to wear star print. Embellished like sparkling gold glitter and sequin dress, embellished with silver stars,in block colour, like black stars printed against a background of bold yellow, blue or pink or star print worn mixed with other textures like lace (i.e. A lace top paired with a star print pencil skirt)

Here are some ways to rock this print:
For a sophisticated ,grown up approach which is taken seriously one can wear a lady like dress on which the star  print is small, making the dress look more  delicate
For a chic and tailored look, team a star print blouse with  high waisted trousers
For a casual look, opt for star print shirts...don't forget, the stars should be big and you can pair the shirt with jeans.

Jessica Alba looks glowingly gorgeous in her head to toe Dolce and Gabbana halterneck gown. Choosing a smaller star print in monochrome she shows just how much of a yummy mummy she is.

How effortlessly gorgeous does Ashley Tisdale look in this oversized D&G jumper and cut-off shorts? She works casual airport chic to a tee, teaming the knit with tan flat sandals, oversized sunglasses and Louis Vuitton luggage.

Fergie adds a splash of colour to the starry look at the Teen’s Choice Awards in her yellow and black long-sleeved mini.

LET YOUR LIPS SPEAK VOLUMES

Hellu every body....just thought I would give a bit of insight this evening, on whats cracking it and whats not when it comes to your lips this summer.......do enjoy

After years of sheer, barely-there glosses, lipstick is making a big comeback. The new makeup trend is rich, vibrant, creamy colour. But application can get tricky: too much lipstick can smear all over, and the wrong colour can make you look very old or comical. Here are some tips.
Exfoliate
Keep lips smooth by regularly exfoliating with a homemade sugar-and-oil scrub. Apply balms to hydrate lips, the same way you’d religiously moisturise.
Stay away from super-sparkly lipstick
Sparkle may work on the runways (or your five-year-old niece) but it can make you look cheap and rather silly. Stick to lipsticks that are creamy, so any reflective properties come from the moisture in the product rather than metallic pigments.
Want a bright lipstick? Start with your lip colour
Experts say that when you’re choosing a bright lipstick, you need to study your natural lip colour rather than your ski ton. If you have very pale lips, pick a very cherry red or a softer coral. Reddish lips are a perfect match for hot pink, orange or cranberry lips. Dark lips are the right canvas for brick red and burgundy shades.
Want a nude lipstick? Start with your skin tone
A nude lipstick should be just one shade deeper or brighter than your skin tone, or you’ll look like a corpse. Those with pale skin should get something slightly pinkish; while those with yellowish or olive skin tones should stick to a beige palette (think sand shades). Pair with smoky eye shadow for an elegant evening look.
Don’t get black and blue
Unless you’re a Goth, avoid lipsticks that have very strong black or blue undertones. You’re going to look older, even a little bit creepy. The only exception of course is you’re going to a Halloween party as a vampire—but if you’ve seen the Twilight series, you know that even Bella wouldn’t wear those colours.
Buy a natural looking liner
While most lipsticks stay put, you may want to put liner to give it something to “stick” to—sort of like a primer—or to enhance the shape of your lips. In that case, pick a liner that matches your lip colour and then use it for both the outline and to gently fill in the entire lip before putting on lipstick.
Apply from the center

Apply lipstick at the middle of the lips and then blend towards the corners. You can use a brush for more precision (especially if you’re using a bold colour like red) or your fingers.

hope you've learned a thing or two...

ANIMAL PRINT TREND

Hello fashionistas hope you had a great weekend and having a great week thus far.....below I've included a a piece on yet another hot trend...enjoy....:)
Animal print or leopard print as some might call is clothing and fashion style in which is made to resemble the pattern of the skin and fur of an animal such as the leopard, cheetah, zebra, tiger or giraffe. Animal print is also used for hand bags and footwear and even some jewelry ….the great thing  is that fake fur is used instead of animal coat.
Animal prints have been a popular style season after season….for one they are generally expensive and are considered exotic and are a symbol of wealth and status. The animal print can be traced back to history...Kings and other high people used animal print rugs and such as a sign of status.
These days we do however see a  lot of average people(like myself) rocking the animal print look….I mean  in down town Jozi, what I refer to as ‘’SGODI” (private eye) is full of the animal print….Town boasts some of the sexiest garments…I cannot believe I’m saying this, hahahaha…..Your jumpsuits, pants, dresses, blouses..You name it it’s there.

You can be king...or queen of the jungle and rock this saucy trend this season just ensure in moderation, just like everything else is done these days. Like I said earlier on, we’ve seen the trend come and go many times(guess it depends on how old you are) it is a safe bet to purchase animal print as you will get your money’s worth over and over each season you wear it. With that being said, from the research I’ve done I have rounded up some Do’s and Don’t you dares of Animal print:
I DO NOT advise most to rock animal print as the majority of the outfit but again, this is really on an individual bases and does work for some.  Start by purchasing an accessory item to gauge if you really will sport this trend and how comfortable you will feel while rocking it.
Now, it is animal print for goodness sake so it is your goal to feel sexy and you are channelling your inner naughtiness!  If this is NOT what you’re going for then clearly this trend is not for you but then that would just make me ask you why not?  Being sexy does the body and the mind some good not to mention other’s too!
I DO suggest that everyone get their paws on some print!  Use the look when accessorising an outfit and throw on a pair of leopard wedges or throw your gloss in a zebra clutch (not at the same time, I get to that below).  Don’t worry you will look ferocious but the print doesn’t bite!
DO NOT cover yourself in head to toe animal print unless you are trying to be picked up by the police for you know what!
DO NOT mix prints! Unless you’re Rihanna and you're bold enough to do so. I’m kidding it can work…so I kind of take the point I made earlier back. If you can pull it off ,why not!?

DO wear your print with solids!  Red and animal print is always a beautifully safe bet.
DO accessorise with gold toned jewelry.  Gold jewelry makes the prints look so regal and rich!  Again, this is a blanket statement and will not apply to every outfit but definitely the majority.
DO NOT be afraid of coloured animal prints.
Here are some looks to convince and inspire you!
